HOST A COUNTRY TABLE

We believe that the best way to celebrate our diverse community is by showcasing the countries that have shaped our lives. You can sign up here to represent a country that reflects your own or your family's nationality, ethnic or cultural background. Hosting a country involves setting up at 6ft table filled with essential information about the country. This can be done using trifolds, pictures, and also displaying traditional items that represent the culture and heritage of the country. In the event that multiple families sign up for the same country, we will connect you all via email with the hope that you can work together. *Only one table per country will be allowed at the event*

Would you like to host a country table?

CULTURAL FOOD

We would love to have every table bring a traditional appetizer or dish to be shared with those eager to taste the flavors of your cultural cuisine. All tables must provide an ingredient list and allergy information to be displayed at the table. The food can be either prepared at home or purchased from a restaurant/store. You will receive further details regarding food serving guidelines and any additional requirements as suggested by the Westwood Health Department.

Are you handing out a cultural appetizer/dish at your table?

Ex. (beef empanadas and chicken empanadas)

CULTURAL MUSIC

The organizing committee is putting together a playlist of popular international songs that will be played throughout the event. We are hoping that each table can provide a family-friendly song from their country, adding a touch of cultural diversity and musical enjoyment.

Would you like to submit a popular family-friendly song from your country?

Ex: (Dominicano Soy by Fernando Villalona)

CULTURAL PHOTOS

We would like families to contribute a photo of cultural significance in their represented country. All families are welcome to submit a photo or photo collage showcasing their cultural celebrations and traditions, even if you don't host a table! The goal is to provide children an opportunity to witness the beauty and richness of different cultures through these photos. The submitted photos will be showcased on a big screen projector for everyone to appreciate and enjoy.

Would you like to submit photos of cultural significance?

CULTURAL PERFORMANCE

There will be a designated performance time where our talented children will have the opportunity to showcase their chosen cultural dances or demonstrate their skills in playing traditional instruments. These performances will take place in front of all attendees, allowing everyone to witness and appreciate their skills and cultural heritage.

Is your child(ren) interested in performing?

CULTURAL ACTIVITY

We are looking for families who are interested in presenting an activity or demonstration that holds cultural significance in their country. Examples include henna application, letter calligraphy, drumming, arts and crafts.

CULTURAL WELCOMING

We are looking for children who are interested in welcoming parents as the performances start. it would be wonderful if the children could dress in traditional attire representing their cultural heritage and greet attendees in their native language, saying "hello" and "welcome."

Would your child(ren) be interested in welcoming parents on stage in traditional attire at the start of the performances?
